We are excited to announce that Mission of Our Lady of the Angels will have its second marathon team for the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon (October 7th, 2012)!
In 2011, TEAM OLA was started to:
- Raise awareness of Mission of Our Lady of the Angels
- Offer up sacrifices of time, energy, and muscle fatigue for the Mission and those it serves
- Raise funds funds for Mission of Our Lady of the Angels
- HAVE FUN!
In 2011, TEAM OLA sacrificed hundreds of hours of training for the Mission. The team was able to raise ~$21,000 in the process! We are so grateful for all of TEAM OLA’s efforts.
With the help of our team, friends, and of course, God, we think we can do even better this year. If you want to sign up, please e-mail olamission@gmail.com or call 773-486-8431 and ask for Sr. Stephanie. New runner registration has CLOSED for 2012. However, if have already signed up for the marathon and would like to join Team OLA, please let me know.

Perks include- T-shirts, training advice (if wanted), periodic motivational e-mails, pre race Mass & dinner, place to stay the night before the race, transportation to start, among other things

….and most exciting……this year we are starting TEAM OLA ANGELS. Each runner will be assigned an ANGEL to specifically pray for their intentions during training and during the race
Not a runner, but still want to get involved? Join TEAM OLA ANGELS!
Sign up to pray for a runner! You can come to the pre race dinner to meet and talk with all of the runners! E-mail olamission@gmail.com or call 773-486-8431 and ask for Sr. Stephanie to sign up. We have so many runners on the team this year- we need many more Angels! Please let me know if you are willing to pray for a runner!
